What Is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle yet powerful form of energy healing that brings harmony to the mind, body, and spirit. It offers a quiet space to rest, rebalance, and reconnect — especially when life feels overwhelming or out of alignment.
Originating in Japan, the word Reiki means “universal life energy” — the vital force that flows through all living things. When this energy becomes blocked or depleted, it can show up as stress, fatigue, emotional heaviness, or a general sense of disconnection.
Reiki works to restore the natural flow of energy within the body, gently bringing you back into balance on every level — physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
How Reiki Works
Unlike massage or physical therapies, Reiki works on a subtle energetic level. There is no manipulation of the body.
Instead, the practice involves the laying on of hands — or working just above the body’s energy field.
The practitioner acts as a channel for universal life energy, allowing it to flow where it is most needed.
Your body’s innate intelligence knows exactly how to use this energy to support healing, release, and renewal.
What to Expect During a Session
Your session begins with a short, relaxed chat about how you’re feeling and what you’d like support with — whether that’s physical discomfort, emotional stress, or simply the need for rest and calm.
You’ll then lie comfortably on the therapy couch, fully clothed, while I guide you into stillness through gentle grounding and breathwork.
As the Reiki energy flows, you may experience warmth, tingling, coolness, or waves of deep relaxation. Some people see colours, images, or light, while others drift into a peaceful, meditative state — that space between wakefulness and sleep where healing happens naturally.
Every experience is unique, but many people leave feeling calmer, lighter, and clearer — as though they’ve released what they were carrying and returned home to themselves.

The effects often continue to unfold over the days that follow as your energy integrates and rebalances. To support this process, I recommend drinking plenty of water, spending time in nature if possible, and allowing yourself rest as your body gently adjusts.
