The Forgotten Forest

The Forgotten Forest is a little place where children, and adults alike, can come and play whilst reconnecting with nature. An outdoor provision  for children, parents and adults.

Learn the Forgotten Forest Way-

make natural crafts,  take part in nature activities, make dens, climb trees, play in the mud kitchen, relax in a hammock, chill in the tipi, sit around the campfire and have hot chocolate and marshmallows. Learn how to use tools and rope to make all sorts of equipment such as log dogs and fairy homes. The opportunities are endless. But most of all, have fun and let follow your own imagination.

Panel 1

I’m Sarah Parker

I run and own The Forgotten Forest outdoor provision

I love nature, being outdoors and teaching others. I have a passion for all things forest and bushcraft

I am a qualified primary school teacher, with over ten years experience. Taking a career break to have my children, I decided to childmind. Ofsted rated me as outstanding in my childminding in September 2016. During childminding I realised how much my daughter Millie loved outdoors and attending forest school.  I fell in love with the ethos and quickly enrolled in a forest school leader, level 3 course.

I had Delilah in December and continued to do the main bulk of my forest school training by March 2017. I have now handed in my portfolio and eagerly await my certificate.

I have paediatric first aid, outdoor first aid and food hygiene qualifications amongst many others.

I am fully insured as well as having public liability

Come and join me in The Forgotten Forest and get back to nature.
