Foraging & Medicine Making at the Cabin
Saturday 10th October | 10am–1pm | £45
Come and spend an autumn morning with me exploring foraging, wild plants and traditional medicine making at the Forgotten Forest cabin.
We’ll begin with a foraged breakfast, enjoying some wild and seasonal foods together before heading out to explore some of the plants growing around us.
We’ll look at how to identify different plants safely, what parts can be used, when and how to harvest them, and explore some of their traditional uses and benefits.
Then we’ll head back to the cabin, get cosy and turn what we’ve learned into our own autumn apothecary.
Together we’ll make:
Elderberry syrup
Traditional fire cider
A herbal balm
A herbal tincture
You’ll be involved in making each preparation, learning the different methods as we go, so you’ll leave with not only your creations but the knowledge and confidence to begin making some of them yourself at home.
Everything you need is included — ingredients, jars, bottles and materials — and you’ll take your handmade preparations home with you.
This is going to be a lovely hands-on morning of foraging, learning, making, eating and reconnecting with the plants growing all around us.
No previous foraging or herbal knowledge is needed.
