A hands-on journey into nature’s remedies and ancestral wisdom
Step into the green heart of nature and discover the healing plants that flourish all around us – quietly growing in fields, hedgerows, and woodland edges, waiting to be noticed. This half-day foraging and herbal medicine walk is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with the land, and awaken to the gifts of wild medicine that our ancestors once relied upon so deeply.
Together, we’ll wander through the local landscape with fresh eyes, learning to see plants not simply as background greenery, but as allies, teachers, and healers. As we walk, you’ll be guided to identify a variety of local medicinal plants, hear stories of their folklore, and explore both traditional and modern uses for health and vitality. This is hands-on learning, rooted in the land itself.
Over the course of the day, you will also discover the alchemy of transforming freshly foraged ingredients into powerful herbal preparations to support your well-being. With guidance, you’ll craft a collection of remedies to take home, along with the confidence to continue experimenting with plants in your own daily life.
You’ll learn how to create and take home:
- Fire cider – a fiery, immune-boosting tonic to awaken your system and bring warmth through the colder months
- Elderberry syrup – a delicious, nourishing ally to strengthen your defences against colds and flu
- Turkey tail tincture – a potent, immune-supportive mushroom remedy for resilience and vitality
- Herbal teas – soothing blends to weave gentle healing into everyday moments
- Salves & balms – plant-powered ointments to care for your skin and aid natural first aid
As we pause along the way, we’ll share a simple foraged lunch together, sampling herbal teas and other natural preparations. This shared meal is a time to rest, connect, and allow the teachings of the morning to settle into body and heart.
This workshop is much more than a practical skill-building session—it is a chance to reawaken your senses, to walk in rhythm with the seasons, and to remember your place within the web of nature. By the end of the day, you’ll carry home not only jars and bottles of handmade remedies, but also the stories, wisdom, and confidence to continue your journey with wild medicine.
Whether you are completely new to foraging, a curious beginner in herbalism, or someone seeking to deepen your relationship with the land, this immersive experience will leave you feeling grounded, inspired, and more attuned to the plants around you.
Spaces are intentionally kept small and supportive, ensuring plenty of personal guidance, time for questions, and a nourishing sense of community. Attendees must be aged 16 or older.
